As part of our research we are recruiting for a multinational that operates in the agri-food sector a Responsable Achat.

Objective:

  • Along with the Regional Procurement Leader, develop and implement a procurement strategy across the country to effectively manage all Procurement needs and requirements within the country.
  • Ensure maximum value delivery opportunities (global, regional or local) is adopted within the country while mitigating risks and ensuring superior quality from supplies.
  • Implements Global Procurement model in country.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the face of Procurement, set the agenda, communicate with key stakeholders and ensure senior leadership is aware
    of progress/roadblocks to results.
  • Build and lead a strongly engaged and high performing team (Attract, develop and retain talent).
    Together with the Regional Procurement Leader, set direction for the team incorporating procurement best practices in category. management.
  • Ensure innovative solutions are implemented in the value chain to enable competitive advantage in the county.
  • Ensure an on-going portfolio of productivity projects across all value levers.
  • Lead the team through proactive implementation of risk mitigation strategies in key categories.
  • Ensure team actively participates or drives the development and implementation  of category strategies.
  • Lead the development procurement procedures across the country and monitors compliance against them.
  • Ensure supplier performance (quality, innovation, etc.) for local suppliers.
  • Ensure adoption of approved procurement tools.
  • Drive sustainability practices within the country in support of the global and regional sustainability strategies and targets.

Skills Requires:

7+ years experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
Bilingual, English required.

  • Strong category management and procurement skills (SRM, negotiation, category strategy)
    Strong problem-solving/analytical skills.
  • Effective people development and management skills.
  • Organization building skills.
